Before you enrol
Choosing a course is one of the biggest decisions of your career. Price, practical days and accreditation matter, but none of them tell you how well you will be prepared to teach. Ask these six questions of every provider, including us.

Learning exercises is only one part of becoming an instructor. Look for education that teaches why an exercise is chosen, when to change it and how to adapt it for the person in front of you.
Anatomy should change the way you teach. Choose a course that explains how anatomy shapes movement quality, exercise selection, cueing and programming, not just muscle names.
Most instructors teach far more than healthy, injury-free clients. Look for training that covers pregnancy, postnatal recovery, common musculoskeletal conditions, persistent pain and age-related change.
Performing exercises well is not the same as teaching them. Practical days should build observation, cueing, communication and class management through repeated teaching practice and feedback.
Teaching one exercise and designing an effective class are different skills. Look for sequencing, progressions, regressions and load management.
If you plan to teach overseas or across different settings, check how the qualification is recognised and whether the curriculum prepares you for studio, fitness and rehabilitation work.
Compare providers
Every provider has a different educational philosophy. Compare what each one teaches, how those skills are built and how graduates are prepared to teach.
| What to compare | Why it matters | How Body Form Education approaches it |
|---|---|---|
| Applied anatomy and biomechanics | Understanding movement improves cueing, programming and exercise selection. | Built into every certification and applied directly to movement analysis, cueing and programming. |
| Clinical reasoning | Teaching is decision-making, not memorisation. | Learn to analyse movement, recognise compensations and modify exercises for different clients. |
| Practical teaching | Teaching skill grows through practice and feedback. | Practical days focus on cueing, observation, communication and coaching. |
| Programming and class design | Great classes need purposeful sequencing and progression. | Programming frameworks, progressions, regressions and load management. |
| Different client populations | Most instructors teach people with injuries, pregnancy or limitations. | Practical exercise modification for common musculoskeletal conditions, pregnancy and postpartum clients. |
| Learning model | Complex ideas need time to absorb and revisit. | 250+ hours: self-paced online theory, practical training and apprentice hours. |
| Assessment | Teaching should be assessed through application, not recall. | Written programming assessments, practical teaching assessments and apprentice hours. |
| Career preparation | A qualification should prepare you for professional practice. | The knowledge and teaching skills for studios, rehabilitation settings and fitness environments. |
