Global Studio CPD Workshops

Physio-Led Pilates Education That Transforms Teams, Retains Clients & Elevates Your Studio’s Reputation

Body Form Education delivers physiotherapy-led Pilates CPD workshops designed specifically for Pilates studios and teaching teams, not individual hobby training.

These workshops equip instructors with real, usable skills they can apply immediately in class, improving safety, confidence, consistency, and client retention.

Led by Kira-Leigh Rule, Women’s Health Physiotherapist, Clinical Pilates Rehabilitation Instructor, Global Teacher Trainer, and Studio Owner,  these workshops have now been delivered to 66+ studios across Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, and Indonesia.

Why Studio Owners Choose Body Form CPD

Studio owners don’t need more theory-heavy lectures.
They need instructors who can confidently handle real clients in real classes.

Our workshops teach instructors how to:

  • Modify for injuries without breaking class flow

  • Support pre- and postnatal clients safely and confidently

  • Retain members by making clients feel seen, supported, and safe

  • Teach with clarity instead of fear or guesswork

  • Maintain professionalism in group, semi-private, and boutique settings

“The best course we’ve ever done. We walked away with practical tools and immediate confidence to handle any client who walks in.”
– Kristina, Form & Flow Pilates

The Reality for Most Studios

If you run a Pilates or group fitness studio, you’ve seen this happen:

  • A client walks in with hip bursitis, knee arthritis, a disc bulge, or announces she’s 28 weeks pregnant

  • The instructor panics and abandons the planned class

  • Modifications are improvised mid-class

  • Flow breaks, confidence drops, and the client feels singled out

The result:

  • Inconsistent client experience

  • Instructor stress and burnout

  • Reduced retention

  • Increased risk exposure

This is the gap our workshops are designed to fix.

Studios reduce pelvic floor flare-ups while still delivering effective classes.

Instructors gain confidence working with common but often misunderstood conditions.

Studios build trust with postnatal clients and improve long-term retention.

Strength Training &
Pilates Programing

Physio-Led Strength Pilates Education

This workshop teaches instructors how to actually build strength inside Pilates safely, progressively, and intelligently.

No trend-based burn formats.
No guessing.

WHAT IS IN IT

1. Strength training inside Pilates

  • What Strength Pilates actually is  and what it isn’t

  • How to combine stabiliser work with meaningful load

  • Why fatigue ≠ strength, and how to stop guessing

2. The science that drives results

  • Muscle fibre recruitment (Type I vs Type II) and goal-based coaching

  • Strength vs hypertrophy vs endurance (reps, load, tempo, rest)

  • Time under tension, mechanical tension, and metabolic stress

  • Energy systems and why some formats feel intense but don’t build strength

  • Simple periodisation to prevent plateaus and improve retention

3. Non-negotiable programming principles

  • Progressive overload in Pilates how to scale safely

  • Specificity: matching class intent to client goals

  • Rest and recovery: structuring sets and transitions properly

  • Variation without chaos progression without losing flow

4. A repeatable Strength Pilates class structure

  • Warm-up that primes joints and activates key muscle groups

  • Main strength block (20–30 minutes) with layered loading
(bodyweight → bands → dumbbells / loaded variations)

  • Accessory work to protect joints and stabilisers

  • Cool-down and breathwork for nervous system recovery

5. Strength Pilates by muscle group

  • Glutes / hamstrings, quads / calves

  • Chest / back, shoulders / arms

  • Core integration with pelvic floor and deep stabilisers

  • Three clear intensity levels so every class is scalable

6. Coaching strength in real group classes

  • Supersets, drop sets, and circuits when and why to use them

  • Cueing for alignment, load tolerance, and joint integrity

  • Pregnancy-safe and joint-friendly modifications

  • Coaching strength confidently without increasing risk
