CPD certification
Teaching Pilates for back pain and spinal conditions
About this certification
You will benefit most if...
You second-guess how to teach clients with back pain, disc injuries or spinal conditions.
What you will learn
Spinal anatomy is explained practically, with clear modification strategies so you teach with more confidence and clinical reasoning.
Overview
Are You Confident Your Spinal Modifications Are Helping, Not Harming?
“Can they flex their spine, or will that make it worse?”
Most Pilates certifications do not provide sufficient spinal education to confidently manage back pain in real classes. This course is Physio-led and exists to close that gap
*This is NOT Mat or Reformer Pilates Teacher Training it does NOT qualify you to become a Mat & Reformer Instructor. This is for those who already have their Pilates qualifications/accreditations and are insured to teach Pilates already.
Why Spinal Education Is Essential for Pilates Instructors
Back pain is the number one reason clients stop exercising
Spinal injuries are the most common presentation in Pilates studios
Poorly chosen modifications can worsen symptoms
Clients with pain expect instructors to know what they are doing

Reviews
“With no prior anatomy education or study, I was nervous about taking the leap into Pilates instructor training, but I couldn't recommend Bodyform Education and Kira-Leigh more! I've just completed four practical training days in Queenstown, New Zealand, for Mat and Reformer Pilates, and they've exceeded all of my expectations.”
“If you’re a Pilates Instructor and have ever flirted with the idea of upskilling or undergoing a course for a certification you already have—rehashing what you “already know”—DO IT. And do it RIGHT!!! Enrolling in Body Form Education’s Double Certification of Mat & Reformer in Sydney was easily the best investment I’ve ever made in my Pilates career (and myself).”
“Completing my mat Pilates education with Kira-Leigh from Body Form at their Mona Vale studio has been such a rewarding experience. Everyone wants to be the best instructor they possibly can and Kira-Leigh helps facilitate that by providing evidence based, holistic and in-depth education.”
Real students, real practical days
Our CPD certifications are fully online. If you would also like to train in person, this is what a Body Form practical day looks like. Mat days are hands-on: teaching practice, cueing, observation and live feedback with your Master Trainer, on the floor with your cohort.
