Founder

Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor

Growing up on the Northern Beaches herself, Kira-Leigh’s passion for Physiotherapy arose from being an elite gymnast for 12 years. Suffering an array of injuries in her gymnastics career fostered her immense appreciation for the value of physiotherapy in effective rehabilitation and improving quality of life. 

​

Kira-Leigh draws on her comprehensive understanding of the human body from completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, alongside her extensive experience as a qualified mat and reformer pilates trainer (Cert IV) and Diploma in Clinical Pilates Rehabilitation. Her athletic background also provides an authentic insight into the impact of injury, rehabilitation, and pain management.  

 

Her aim as a Physiotherapist is to implement a collaborative approach to reach the client’s goals-  combining clinical education and individualised rehabilitation. Looking beyond the injury itself and remodelling the physical and emotional body, aiming for sustainable changes.  

​

Outside of the clinic, Kira-Leigh loves a wide range of physical activities including coastal walks with friends and running around Narrabeen Lake.

Her keen interests lie in sporting injuries, pediatric patients, and chronic pain.

Emma Ballantyne

Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor

Like most physios, Emma has grown up playing a variety of sports, in particular being a water and snow skier from a very young age. Her passion to become a physio was founded in her fair share of gymnastics and netball injuries. 

​

Nowadays, Emma leans towards activities such as yoga, pilates, surfing, and running at Mona Vale or Collaroy beach to maintain optimal physical health and well-being. She incorporates her expertise in human movement into Pilates-based programs, utilising mat and reformer styles.

​

Emma's expert knowledge comes from her powerful combination of a Bachelor of Human Movement followed by a Masters of Physiotherapy, alongside her extensive experience from working in private practices for 7+ years. Working with clients to support them in learning how to better move their bodies and sustain a pain-free life are her personal interests. Her gorgeous 18mth old daughter keeps her motivated to stay healthy but also teaches her not to rush, as good things take time.

Sarah Ellis

Sports Therapist & Pilates Instructor

Sarah, originally from Switzerland, has called Australia home for the past 15 years. With a Diploma in Sports Therapy under her belt, she boasts an impressive 8-year career predominantly focused on working with semi-professional and professional athletes (including a range of NRL teams such as Manly and the Eels). Her expertise extends to encompass clinical experiences, in particular, rehabilitation and chronic disease management.

 

In 2018, Sarah faced a significant setback—an acute back injury. Determined to avoid surgery, she turned to Pilates as part of her rehabilitation journey. It was during this period that her admiration for Pilates blossomed into a passion.

 

Today, Sarah channels her fervor for Pilates into her teaching, where she’s dedicated to helping others discover its transformative benefits. Expect Sarah’s classes to blend her wealth of sports therapy knowledge with a compassionate approach- tailored to individual needs. Whether you’re striving for athletic performance or seeking rehabilitation, Sarah’s commitment to empowering her clients shines through in every session.

Mia Golden

Bachelor Of Exercise Science (Honours) & Pilates Instructor

A local Avalon gem, Mia's journey into Pilates began in her early days as a dancer, igniting a lifelong love affair with the power of movement. Armed with a Bachelor in Health and Exercise Science (with Honours, no less!), Mia's dedication to health and wellness is second to none. 

​

After years of experiencing the transformative magic of Pilates firsthand, Mia dove headfirst into instructor training, eager to share the joy and confidence that Pilates instills in every body. Her mission? To help you tap into your body's incredible potential, one movement at a time!

But Mia's expertise doesn't stop there – she's all about that extra oomph! Whether she's adding coordination challenges or focusing on stability and control, Mia's sessions are a delightful blend of mind-body magic and pure Pilates prowess.

When she's not guiding you to Pilates perfection, you'll find Mia soaking up the sunshine by the ocean, catching waves or embarking on epic adventures. Because life's all about balance – on and off the mat!
